About Go Time
Since May of 2019, we have been fighting to purchase property in Johnsburg as the new home for Light House Church. On December 30th, 2020 We became the new owners of 2819 Johnsburg Rd.
This ~10-acre parcel is the perfect place for a lighthouse to the community. God is moving through Light House Church. The vision is to construct a beautiful and practical church ministry building that will truly be a lighthouse of hope and Gospel ministry to the Chain of Lakes area.
Friends. Family. Faith.
IT'S NOT JUST AN ADDRESS, IT'S OUR PURPOSE
Our goal is to raise $281,900 which will enable us to secure the construction loan. After one of our members gave $2,819 toward the building it inspired us. We are now asking everyone who can to give $2,819 during 2021 (that’s $7.72 per day). We get it, this may not be something you can do. We are challenging everyone to give what they can toward this goal.
God has been providing through the generosity of His people and we believe He will provide, as long as we seek to fulfill His Great Commission.

Go Time is not just another church building. It's a beacon of hope. It's a place for friends and families to grow together and know their children are taught the values they care about. It's people serving the community to fulfill the vision for Light House (28:19). No distractions. God will raise the funds needed, but Light House Church must do all He asks of us to double our reach and draw Johnsburg to Christ, or this building is for nothing.
Prayer is the muscle behind Go Time.
Prayer aligns our will with God's. Without these alignments, we will go forward out of selfish desires. Go Time isn't about having a better building. It's about fulfilling the call God has placed on Light House since 2005. It's about reaching families in the McHenry/Johnsburg area with the Love of Christ. Without prayer, our time and efforts are meaningless.
"If we don't become known as a house of prayer, we're going to find ourselves down a path akin to those before us." -James Melton
