Who we are
Light House Church is comprised of individuals from varying backgrounds who share one key common bond; we found hope in Jesus and are growing in faith together. We are a people committed above all to God, His Word, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we rely upon the Holy Spirit. We worship, serve, learn, grow, love, and laugh as we follow Christ together. We want as many people as possible to experience God’s love and the freedom found by faith in Jesus.
Where we come from
Light House Church launched with a God-given mission to serve the Chain of Lakes region with life-giving Gospel ministry. In 2004, fifteen people willingly embarked on the difficult journey of faith to start a new church. With no funding, meeting space, or equipment when they began, but through God’s miraculous provision, the first public service was held in the McHenry Downtown Movie Theatre on Memorial Day weekend, 2005. God has sustained LHC ever since.
Where we're headed
Light House Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus to make disciples by sharing the hope of the Gospel with the Chain of Lakes region, providing excellent, practical ministry to the whole family by equipping people to fulfill their destiny as they learn to serve others with their God-given gifts. We endeavor to be a church our community considers a vital source for faith, hope, and love. A church where people from all walks of life find hope in Jesus. Our vision is summed up in three words: Friends, Family, Faith.
